National Endowment for the Arts has been proposed for an increase by the President, and the increase was approved in the House Interior Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Ken Calvert. MARIAN BERGESON
Arts Orange County mourns the passing of longtime OC arts & education champion Marian Bergeson, who has died at age 90. Bergeson was the first woman elected to both the California Assembly and State Senate. She later served as Secretary of Education under Governor Pete Wilson, and as a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. OC Register obituary
