Dear friends and Fellows,

We are excited about the events the Institute has to offer over the next two months.

For our Fellows past and present, we have booked Dr. Randy Newman (author and apologist) to conduct an apologist seminar on February 27 and 28. Randy is a gifted speaker and facilitator and will be working with our Fellows to sharpen their apologetic skills.

In March we will have a dessert/coffee seminar with Terry Lindvall on Wednesday, March 11, 7-9pm, at the Federal House upper room. Terry will be speaking on: "If C.S. Lewis met Stephen Colbert, Thoughts about Humor, Culture, and Joy." Terry is also a C.S. Lewis Scholar and this event promises laughter and challenging thought. A separate invitation has been sent for you to register and gather more information for this event. If you haven't received it, click here.

For our Mentors past and present, Terry will be our speaking at our annual Mentor Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, March 12, 6:30-9pm, at the Treaty of Paris restaurant. Terry will provide mentor training mixed with great humor. A separate invitation has been sent to our mentors for this event.

Amy's Corner:

I just love the Lewis Reading group at St. John's. There is such fascinating discussion and relationships made, all through some of Lewis's best works. We are now half-way through Mere Christianity. It is a small group, but it has been so good! All students are welcome to come jump into the discussion at any time!

Our men and women's fellowships are off to a great start this spring semester! Ann and I have welcomed some new faces and are loving getting to know more students. The seniors have finally handed in their mammoth senior essays and are now emerging back into civilization - congrats seniors! I've had students over for dinner at my house, and hope to have another pancake night in the next couple of weeks.

We will hopefully be starting up another women Fellows alumae group soon, so be watching for that announcement!

I'm excited for all that the Lord has in store for the Institute and St. John's in this coming semester! Please continue to pray for the students, faculty and staff at St. John's.

Love,

Amy
