Amy's Corner:

I think this is the toughest part of the semester... winter wears on, essays pile up, and everyone looks longingly toward spring break. And as of this past Friday, it's finally here! SJC students are now on spring break until the 16th of March. We take a break from our regular fellowships, we rest, we read for fun, and we pray for what's ahead come spring.

The C.S. Lewis reading group has become a wonderful small community, and we recently discussed The Weight of Glory. It was an excellent conversation on the argument from desire and the concept of heaven and glory. "I read in a periodical the other day that the fundamental thing is how we think of God. By God Himself, it is not! How God thinks of us is infinitely more important. Indeed, how we think of Him is of no importance except insofar as it is related to how He thinks of us." (Lewis, The Weight of Glory) So I left the question, "What, then, does God think of you? Or, if He did exist, what would He think of you?" I think this is an excellent thing to ponder as Christians, to ask ourselves if we are living out the truth of what God thinks of us...

When everyone returns from spring break, we are looking forward to resuming our weekly fellowships and hear everyone's exciting stories! I'm looking forward to reading Mere Christianity in April with our Lewis reading group.

Please pray for opportunities for those of us connected with CSLI to converse with students in order to share the love of Jesus!

In Him,

Amy
