US Lacrosse named two York Catholic players, Lindsey China and Kayleigh Pokrivka, to the 2016 Girls High School All-Academic Team. This is the 2nd year Lindsey has achieved this honor.
A US Lacrosse All-Academic Team member is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. This player should also have left her mark beyond the lacrosse field and the classroom by making significant contributions of service to the school and/or her community.

To be eligible for this honor, all of the following criteria must be met:
- Head Varsity Coach must be a US Lacrosse member and must nominate the player. A coach can only nominate up to 2 players.
- Player must be a junior or senior.
- Player must have played in a majority of their team's games in the current season.
- Player must be a starter or significant contributor.
- Player must have a cumulative course load of at least 50 percent college prep, honors or AP courses.
- Player must have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or better out of 4.0.
- Player must not exceed an allotted number of penalty points (red and yellow cards).
- Player must have made significant contributions to the school and/or community beyond participation on school athletic teams and these contributions must be verified.
- A player who violates her school's written contract or code of conduct may be excluded from consideration.
York Catholic Girls' Lacrosse Head Coach, Rob Linthicum said,
"Lindsay and Kayleigh are not only outstanding lacrosse players, but are very intelligent young ladies and great role models. They are tremendous assets to York Catholic and the community."
