NaBITA Announces 2016 Keynote Speakers!

NaBITA is honored to announce threat assessment specialist Stephen D. Hart, Ph.D., as the Opening Keynote Speaker at this year's Conference. Dr. Hart is an internationally recognized expert in the field of assessment and management of violence risk. He is also a professor of Psychology at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Dr. Hart has conducted training for legal, law enforcement, corrections and mental health professionals throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Dr. Hart's primary area of expertise is forensic psychology. His work focuses on clinical-forensic assessment, particularly of violence risk and psychopathic personality disorder.

NaBITA is also pleased to announce Capt. (Ret.) Dan Roach, MSJ, MBA, as this year's Morning Keynote Speaker. Dan is currently the Deputy Chief of the Schaumburg Police Department (IL), where he oversees the Patrol Division, the Investigations Division, and the Special Operations Division. He is a retired Illinois State Police Investigations Commander, having served for over 26 years with the ISP. Dan has had extensive involvement in many high-profile investigations including the NIU Campus homicides. At the time of the NIU Campus shootings, Dan was the Chicago-Metro Investigations Commander of the Illinois State Police. He was an on-scene commander and member of the investigative leadership team for the NIU Campus Shootings incident.

J-BIT Submission Deadline Is July 15      

The Journal of Campus Behavioral Intervention (J-BIT) is accepting submissions for the 2016 issue. All published articles undergo an extensive review by top BIT scholars and practitioners on the editorial board.
 
Click here for more information about J-BIT and a look at our 2016 Call for Submissions. Submission deadline has been extended to July 15, 2016. The 2016 Journal will be released in November.
