Freeport Players has teamed up with local businesses for "buy local" concessions in 2016. Audiences will enjoy products from local vendors Vintage Maine Kitchens, SPüN, Wicked Whoopies and Coffee By Design during intermissions at the Players' main stage productions this season.

The Players will do away with mass-produced candy and chips and replace them with delicious savory and sweet items from local producers. According to Managing/Artistic Director Elizabeth Guffey, there has been interest in all-local concessions for some time. "We have featured local products and home-made baked goods at shows in the past, and they were very well received. This is the first time we've tried having all our offerings from local vendors. Our onstage effort is all local; we're excited to extend that local focus to our concessions booth."

Freeport Players produces three main-stage productions each year at Freeport Performing Arts Center. The 2016 season includes Neil Simon's  The Odd Couple (Female Version) July 14-31,  The Complete Works Of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged) September 15 - October 2, and their popular variety show  Radio December 2-4.
