July marks the beginning of the Chamber's new fiscal year. To celebrate, the Chamber is throwing a patio party to honor accomplishments of 2015/2016. Come for a casual, fun luncheon at the Klub Haus.

Economic Development Committee Recap

Take the Earned Sick and Safe Time Survey
The City of Saint Paul is seeking community input on an earned sick and safe time policy in the City of Saint Paul. The Earned Sick and Safe Time Task Force has completed its policy recommendations and the City of Saint Paul wants community feedback on the policy recommendations of the task force.

MN United hosted Club Leon at Target Field last Saturday, and returns to action with the beginning of the fall season Saturday, July 2 against the Carolina RailHawks. Click here to purchase tickets and view their schedule.

MN State Fair Job Fair June 29
The Minnesota State Fair, along with several of its vendors, will host the first-ever State Fair Job Fair 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Progress Center on the fairgrounds. That evening, more than 600 fair-time positions will be available. The job fair is a one-stop-shop for applicants to complete a registration form, meet with a State Fair representative and, if their skills and experience match an open position, a fair department or vendor will interview them on the spot. Positions available at the job fair could include: ticket selling, ticket taking, parking and park & ride attendants, cooks, cashiers, retail sales, food and beverage servers, custodians, and more. Wages for most positions range from $9.50 to $10 per hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and available to work all 12 days of the fair, Aug. 25 - Sept. 5, 2016. The Lyngblomsten Mid-Summer Festival is a day to celebrate the variety of life-enriching experiences that promote artistic exploration and lifelong learning for all ages. The day also provides a unique opportunity for older adults to showcase-through various art forms-their continuing capacity to be purposeful and engaged, and for the community to participate in learning about, supporting, and celebrating the contributions of older adults.
