Bar Mitzvah of Eli Sachs
July 8 & 9, 2016

Eli Sachs is a 7th grader at Deer Creek Middle School. Eli enjoys playing golf, Minecraft, Roblox and other computer games. When he's not studying and playing video games, Eli participates in the Deer Creek Middle School band, playing the trumpet and is also an accomplished drummer. The other great love of Eli's life are his dogs - Aang and Bowie. As a result of this love, Eli's Mitzvah project is volunteering and working with the ASPCA.

Eli is the son of Kelly and Andy Sachs and they would be honored if you would join them to share in the joy as their son becomes bar mitzvah, and also enjoy a kiddush lunch following services on                                             Saturday morning.
Rosh Hodesh Conversations with the Rabbi
Wednesday, July 6, 6:30 pm
Thursday, August 4, 6:30 pm

Beginning in July, Rabbi Harris will facilitate a monthly conversation for those  interested in deepening their knowledge of Jewish living. Rosh Hodesh is the  holiday that begins the new month on the Hebrew calendar. At the Rosh Hodesh  Conversations, Rabbi Harris will review the Jewish observances and issues that
might come up in the new month starting. This is particularly for those newer to Judaism, or those who want to strengthen their understanding of basic Judaism. Other questions on matters related to Jewish life are encouraged. The day of the week to meet will fluctuate throughout the year based on the Rosh Hodesh date.

Support groups are an appropriate and effective way to help bereaved people heal. Because they offer a safe place for people to do the work of mourning, support groups encourage members to reconcile their losses and go on to find continued meaning in life and living.Attending a support group facilitated by skilled leaders often brings comfort and understanding beyond many peoples' expectations.

Temple member Stephanie Brill, LCSW, of Inner Treasures Counseling, will be offering her professional services to the Temple and Jewish community weekly on Wednesday nights,
from 5:30 - 7:00pm, during the months of June & July. Everyone is welcome. More information will be available on the Temple's website at www.thetempleokc.org
