  • Matthew McNally- Managing Director, New York 
Matthew has over 15 years of experience in advising alternative investment funds, fund managers and investors. His experience covers a broad spectrum of tax issues impacting the alternative investment industry, including global fund tax structuring, cross-border transactions, tax accounting, partnership taxation, taxation on investment products and multistate taxation issues.

Matt's clients include a variety of investments Funds in the U.S., Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to joining FTS, he led multiple tax consulting & compliance engagements for a number of global based Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds and Fund-of-Funds.  Prior to FTS Matt was in the Financial services Group at Deloitte and in the Private Company Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Matthew graduated from Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
 
  • Maria Giampapa - Tax Manager, New York
Maria specializes in SALT compliance and consulting within the Financial Services and Real Estate industries. Prior to joining FTS, Maria was a Tax Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and was a member of the PwC State and Local Tax (SALT) practice since 2011 working with some of the largest private equity (real estate, co-investment and fund of funds) clients. Maria's experience has primarily consisted of analyzing the state and local tax implications of proposed transactions and reviewing partnership and corporate state tax returns for purposes of identifying tax planning opportunities and/or exposures.  Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
