Resources on Campus:
Health Center, ADWE and Counseling
There are numerous health-related resources on campus for students to take advantage of, including the Health Center, Office of Alcohol, Drug and Wellness Education (ADWE) and Counseling Services.

The  Health Center  strives to provide medical care for students who have short-term illnesses and injuries. Open Monday through Friday, it provides a variety of services. The Health Center also manages student health records and the student insurance plan. Remember,  all first-year students must turn in their student health records , so be sure to start that process soon! Health Center forms can be found  online  for all students, including student athletes. Families can contact the Health Center with any questions at (330) 823-2692.

Students must also determine whether they will enroll in Mount Union's Student Health Insurance Plan or will be covered under another plan that complies with the Affordable Care Act. All student must use our online insurance form to either waive or opt-in to the Mount Union Student Health insurance by September 6, 2016. After that date, any student who has not waived or opted-in to the health insurance will automatically be enrolled in and billed for the Student Insurance Plan offered by Mount Union. If you have questions about the Student Insurance Plan or how to complete this waiver, contact the Health Center at (330) 823-2692 or email questions to [email protected].

The Office of Alcohol, Drug and Wellness Education  (ADWE)  encourages exploration of and balance within the social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, physical and emotional components of wellness  and works collaboratively with others on campus to develop proactive programming, education and counseling opportunities. Such programs include campus-wide awareness events (i.e. Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Safe Spring Break), hall and floor programs and individual and group counseling sessions. The office provides education and counseling for students concerned about alcohol, drug and other wellness related issues. For more information about ADWE, contact director of alcohol, drug and wellness education Kelleen Weber at (330) 829-6660.

Counseling Services  provides an  opportunity for students to explore their concerns and problems with a professional counselor in a confidential setting . University counselors provide counseling for life's problems often faced by college students, including emotional difficulties, stress management, roommate issues, loneliness and lack of confidence due to relationship issues, eating problems and transitional difficulties. The college years are a time of accelerated growth, significant changes and considerable stress. It is typical to need support in navigating through these changes. Counseling services are free of charge to enrolled students. Students meet one-on-one with a counselor to identify areas of resourcefulness. For more information, call (330) 823-2886.
