Golf Shoot-Out 
Brochures and registration forms for the 22nd Annual Greene County Partnership Golf Shoot-Out will be going out to members this week. The tournament is scheduled for Thursday, August 11, at Link Hills Country Club, and the entry fee of $150 per player includes cart and greens fees, lunch, beverages during play and dinner following the tournament. Sponsorships are available as follows: title sponsor, $1,500; contest sponsor, $250; and hole sponsor, $175. Partnership members are invited to provide door prizes ($25 or more), and goody bag items for the golfers. Beef Day
Don't forget the Agribusiness Committee of the Partnership's Beef Day Celebration Friday, July 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Greene County Fairgrounds Livestock Pavilion. There will be contests, entertainment and free beef products to sample.
August Membership Breakfast
Mark your calendar now for the August Membership Breakfast scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, at 7:30 a.m. at the General Morgan Inn & Conference Center.  The sponsor will be Walters State Community College and the cost is $3 with reservations, $8 without.  RSVP to 638-4111 or email [email protected] by Friday, August 5.
Keep Greene Beautiful Cigarette Receptacles
Keep Greene Beautiful received 30 cigarette receptacles from Keep Tennessee Beautiful as part of the 2016 Cigarette Litter Prevention Program Grant to combat cigarette litter, the most littered item in America.  The receptacles were placed at locations throughout the city and surveys will be conducted until the end of the year to track progress.
September Emailing
Space is available for the September Member Emailing.  The deadline to submit a one-page PDF file is Friday, September 2, and the cost is $100.  This is a great opportunity to market products or businesses.  Contact Lori Dowell at the Partnership for more information.

HUF Video Featured On Newly Enhanced National Database

Google Workshop
Seats are still available for Tourism's "Get Your Business Google-ized" Workshop Wednesday, July 20, at the Kathryn W. Leonard Administrative Building from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The workshop is FREE and only 13 seats remain.  The event is co-sponsored by Tusculum College and Walters State, lunch is sponsored by Andrew Johnson Bank, and snacks will be provided by Trey Youngblood with Farm Bureau. Sports Council Fundraising Luncheon
Tickets are still available for the Sports Council's fundraising luncheon sponsored by Consumer Credit Union Tuesday, July 12, at Trinity United Methodist Church from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon will feature Tusculum College's new head football coach Jerry Odom. National Quilt Gathering
Tourism and the Appalachian Resource Conservation and Development Council will host the National Quilt Gathering August 10-13 in Greeneville.  The American Quilt Trail movement is a model for how the arts are a force for sustainable community enrichment, tourism, and economic development.  The event will feature speakers and workshops on art trail development, fundraising and grant writing, publicity, storytelling, and fiber arts, as well as museum tours, downtown walking tours, special art exhibits, farm-to-table dinner and quilt-turning event, bus tour, and the first public preview of Julianne Donofrio's documentary film about the American Quilt Trail movement, "Pieced Together," with an introduction from Julianne. Education & Workforce Development News
Teacher In-Service
Education & Workforce Development will host a manufacturing in-service for city and county teachers, administrators and counselors Thursday, July 28. The in-service will include plant tours and meetings with human resource managers and plant managers. This in-service program is part of the continuing effort in Greene County to provide better communication between the world of education and the world of work.
