Jeff Klinker | Red Bridge on the Wabash/Erie Canal

Indiana Now 2016: The Bicentennial | Through Aug. 31 | This juried exhibition highlights the work of Hoosier artists. All artwork has been completed since Jan. 1, 2014. Artwork will include painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, ceramics, glass, metal, wood, and fiber.

Art League: Past and Present | Through July 17 | The Art League culminates a yearlong celebration of its 50th anniversary with this exhibit featuring works by 50 members from 1965 to the present. Many of the works in the exhibit will be for sale with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Art League Endowment.

A Bicentennial Legacy, Artsmart: Indiana | Through Nov. 17 | Don your bicentennial hat and check out our exhibit that captures 200 years of Indiana art. It includes rare works from private and public collections that are included in ArtSmart: Indiana, a free web-based program that tells history of Indiana through the work of its artists.

En Plein Air Painting. Visiting artist Melissa Resch will lead two outdoor painting workshops July 16. Participants will meet at pre-selected sites with the goal of producing finished paintings and drawings. Workshops are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2-6 p.m.

Screen Printing Intensive with Jasmine Begeske. For youth 16+ and adults. Noon-3 p.m. Sundays, July 10-31.

Beginning Oil Painting with Melissa Resch. 1-4 p.m. Sundays, July 17-Aug. 14.

Gelli Printing Workshop with Jennifer Reitmeyer. For youth 16+ and adults. 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23.

Kids' Art with Elizabeth Lincourt, fourth Saturday of every month. Participants study an artist or art movement and then do an art project inspired by that artist or movement. July is Dali: Out of This World Surrealism. 1-3 p.m. July 23.

Ongoing classes that can be joined at anytime include Watercolors with Lorie Amick, Pastels with Ron Burgess, Drop-In Drawing with Elizabeth Lincourt, Yoga at the Museum with Debra Steinhauer.

COMING UP

Three-Day Trip to Grand Rapids: The Art Museum is partnering with the Discovering Art & Artists Interest Group of the Purdue Women's Club on a trip to ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Mich., Oct. 5-7. ArtPrize is an international art competition held over three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids. More than 1,500 international artists will compete for prizes of more than $500,000. The trip will also include visits to the Frank Lloyd Wright "Meyer May House" and to Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. Deadline for reservations in July 31.
