Who We Are

The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and Feeding America,  the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
 The Toledo NWO Food Bank serves approximately 300 non-profit agencies
in an eight county area that includes: Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood. Our mission is to enable other community organizations to end hunger. We strive to maximize community resources by effectively obtaining and distributing food through a food collection and distribution system.Over the past 31 years, the Food Bank has proudly distributed over 100 million pounds of food and grocery products to our member agencies.
Why We Do What We Do

Currently within our 8 county service area,
one-in-six adults and one-in-four children
face hunger. That is over 43,000 people
in Northwest Ohio, and 68% of these people
are at or below poverty level.

Volunteer!
Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank relies on the generosity of thousands of individuals who donate their time and effort to help feed the hungry in Northwest Ohio. The Food Bank welcomes groups from schools, companies, civic groups, church youth groups, as well as individuals.

Donate to our Program.
Your gift to the Food Bank will give hope. Every dollar donated provides 4 meals,
and all donations stay in Northwest Ohio. 



Enroll in the Kroger Rewards Program
The Kroger Community Rewards Program was designed to make your fundraising the easiest in town by simply using your Kroger Plus Card! Every time you use your card,
a portion of sales will go to the Food Bank. 



Host a Food Drive.
We can help you organize and host a Food Drive in your area any time of the year.
As many donate during the holidays, our time of greatest need is April through October.



Donate to our Virtual Food Drive.
Our Virtual Food Drive (VFD) is an easy, convenient way to donate food without
leaving your home or workplace. Fast, simple, and secure, our VFD is an interactive, internet-based technology designed to look like a grocery store. It allows individuals to select items off the shelves and "checkout" securely online with a bank or debit card.

Attend our Events!
Fight hunger in Northwest Ohio while also enjoying yourself! Our next fundraiser
is the Annual Motown Dinner & Dance Cruise on The Detroit Princess Riverboat, Saturday, July 16. A portion of proceeds go toward providing meals for those in need.
Don't Miss Our Next Fundraiser -- Saturday, July 16th!
You're invited to join us in the fight to end hunger while cruising on the Detroit Riverboat Princess! Presented by Adventurous Travels, the cruise includes live Motown entertainment, an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, and vendors on-board! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the
Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.

Boarding at 6 p.m., and the boat cruises from 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
