Detroit Red Wings Announce Dates for 2016
Traverse City Events
Centre Ice Arena and Traverse City are preparing to host the Detroit Red Wings for the nineteenth time! Multiple events will again take place, beginning with Conditioning Camp - July 6-10 - followed by NHL Prospect Tournament, Detroit Red Wings Golf Classic and Detroit Red Wings Training Camp in September.
Dates for the September events are: NHL Prospect Tournament (Centre Ice Arena) September 16-20; Detroit Red Wings Golf Classic (Grand Traverse Resort & Spa) September 22; and Detroit Red Wings Training Camp (Centre Ice Arena) September 23-26. Tickets for training camp and prospect tournament will be sold during an in-person ticket sale at Centre Ice Arena on Saturday, July 9 from 1-4:30 pm. Sixth Annual Conditioning Camp in
Traverse City
July 6-10
Under the astute leadership of Jiri Fischer, the Detroit Red Wings Conditioning Camp - a.k.a. Development Camp - will take place in Traverse City for the sixth time July 6-10. Fans are invited to attend practice sessions and scrimmages at Centre Ice Arena. Admission is $5/day, payable at the door. Doors open one hour prior to event. Click Here for complete details.
According to Fischer, Director of Player Development for the Detroit Red Wings, "Every year we bring our top prospects and free agent invites to Traverse City. The Detroit Red Wings Conditioning Camp teaches the players our philosophy of how to build a team; how to compete; how to be better. It's important for the prospects to get to know the environment of Traverse City because the pressure to make the team is tremendous."
While in town players will also enjoy some off-ice, team-building exercise and activities, including a ping-pong tournament, yoga, curling, nutritional demonstrations with cooking tournament plus dune and beach excursions.

On behalf of Centre Ice, Howe Arena and everyone involved with the Detroit Red Wings Events in TC, we want to extend our condolences to the Howe Family.
