July is alight with fireflies and fireworks. This month marks our nation's birthday and many ever-popular Waynesboro traditions such as the Summer Extravaganza, Rock N' Ridgeview and the Waynesboro Generals playing in the Valley Baseball League. Balmy temperatures, starry skies, and live music make a winning combination in Waynesboro, where good times come naturally!
Summer Extravaganza
Saturday, July 9th

Ridgeview Park
Bring the whole family for a day full of good music, an arts and crafts show, family entertainment, and lots of great food! The entertainment will include live music (jazz, rock, and country) as well as magicians, cloggers, hot air balloon rides and much more. You won't want to miss the grand finale fireworks in the evening!
The Summer Extravaganza 5K & 10K offer a challenging run through the beautiful neighborhoods of our city, race day t-shirt, fully stocked aid stations, and a post-race party with food & drink. After the race stay for the party! Part of the race proceeds at this years race will be supporting Relay for Life. It's the feel good race of the year!
The Ridgeview Park Amphitheater will be home of the Summer Music Series this year. Grab your spot on the hill, spread your blanket, grab a bite at the food truck, then just kick back and relax. The band starts at 6:00 pm...come out and rock out!
Beat the summer heat and catch movies for the family, cult movies or classic cinemas on the big screen! All are "pay what you will" admission and no advance tickets are required!
