FACEBOOK CHANGES! PLEASE READ!
Over the past few years the HOA Board has spent many hours deliberating over how to manage the PCE Facebook group. While we have enjoyed many of the aspects of the group, it has also been a challenge dealing with the amount of negativity that tends to rise up during hot topics. Unfortunately, legally we are very limited in how we are allowed to manage this issue. A few months back we posted the Facebook Group topic on our board meeting agenda for any residents that wanted to help find a solution and have continued to have many lengthy discussions on the topic since then. It was finally decided that since we cannot legally manage the Facebook group to properly encourage positive and neighborly interactions, that it is in the best interest of the Association to permanently close this Facebook group so that it will not reflect badly on our neighborhood as a whole.
This group will remain open through July 6th to allow residents to discuss how they would like to connect with each other going forward. Please note that board members are not allowed to participate in any debate or answer questions regarding this subject via Facebook. Please feel free to email the board at [email protected] with any questions, but please understand that this decision was not made lightly and is final.
Despite our best efforts to redirect people to the PCE Website at www.PantherCreekEstates.org for official information, we do understand that many of you use this group as a convenient way to stay up to date on events and ask HOA related questions. We want everyone to know that we are in the process of updating the website to make it more user friendly and easier to follow and find information. We have also implemented a new E-newsletter and E-mail blast system to make getting information to our residents easier, so please be sure to sign up for those (www.panthercreekestates.org/newsletters). Finally, we recently opened a Panther Creek Estates Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/PantherCreekEstates/) where the board will be posting official PCE news, updates, events, information, and anything else we think our residents would like to know about, so be sure to head over there and like that page to continue getting updates about PCE in your Facebook newsfeed. Congratulations to Bill Woodard with his City Council bid! If you didn't know, Bill Woodard had been serving on your HOA board for well over 10 years. We cannot thank him enough for all the support and guidance he has given this community. But now, we need to fill those shoes with a new board member!
