  • It's not too late to donate... Our Annual Appeal ends this Thursday, June 30 at midnight. Your donations provide 100% of the funds used to fill our library shelves, support our programs, and deliver new technology to our community. Please consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation now. 
  • Wilton Library is closed Monday, July 4  in observance of Independence Day.
  • Listen up... Our Music CD Collection has recently been reorganized to merge the Adult and Teen music CDs into one assemblage. Located in the Reading Room area, our comprehensive collection is arranged by musical genre and also now includes music DVDs.
  • Save the date of Saturday, July 16 for our Summer Sidewalk Book Sale. From 10am to 4pm, outside on our front sidewalk area during Wilton's Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair, peruse and purchase gently used books perfect for beach/vacation reading.

Summer Music & More Concert Series: Pocketful of Soul
Thursday, July 7 @5pm
Join us Thursdays, July 7, 14, 21 & 28  in the Brubeck Room, rain or shine, for   Wilton Library's 16th year of Summer Music & More concerts. Pocket ful of Soul opens this year's series on July 7, recreating the sounds of the big brass '70s. Additional dates: July 14, music of the '60s with Tim Currie's Motown Band; July 21, the funk/blues sound of Creamery Station; and on July 28 enjoy Echoes of Sinatra with Steve Kazlauskas. All are welcome - concerts and refreshments are free thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Village Market and wine donation from Michael Crystal. More info
New Yorker Shorts: 5 Weeks of Short Stories from The New Yorker Magazine

Back by popular demand! Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses five short stories published in The New Yorker magazine over five consecutive weeks. Each Tuesday's meeting will be about the previous week's story. Summer Poetry with Judson Scruton: Powers of the Imagination - Wallace Stevens and his Contemporaries

Judson Scruton leads this 4-part seminar series exploring the poetry of Wallace Stevens and four of his contemporaries. The poetry of Wallace Stevens was frequently described by critics of his early writing as being effete dandyism. By the time his Collected Poems was published in 1954, however, critics were praising him as a masterful modernist. Today he is generally proclaimed 'the supreme poet of the imagination.'  More info & register
Writing Scripts for Today's Television with GiGi New

Join professional screenplay and television writer GiGi New for a workshop that offers a fresh and informative perspective on how to create a strong script for today's television landscape. 72nd Annual Wilton Artists' Summer Show Art Exhibition/Reception
Friday, July 8 @6pm
Please join us for a reception to celebrate more than 50 Wilton artists displaying diverse styles, media, and subjects in this two-month long annual Summer Show. A majority of the works will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Library. Reception open to the public. Exhibition runs through August 25.  More info
