I don't have to tell you of the dire need for unity within our Jewish community. When one Jewish person is maligned, spat upon, or has their home and family threatened with crudely drawn swastikas and vocal threats, all of us are attacked. What is happening in Europe and in America, yes, America, is a plague that must be addressed. Immediately.
So, dear friends, I ask that on March 6 at 7:30 P.M., you attend Friday night, Shabbat services at Belmont Village conducted by me, and Cantor Kathy (She's mended and she's back!).
Let us strengthen our resolve, pray together and become one with Jews throughout the world. In good conscience, we cannot be quiet, sit in our homes and watch hours of inane TV. We must rise to the occasion, come to temple and lend our support to our brothers and sisters who need our prayers.
Much Love and Blessings, Rabbi Jerry

Arne's Corner
Anti-Semitism is a disease for which there is likely, no cure. "Home is the place where, when you have to go there. They have to take you in," wrote Robert Frost. For every French Jew at risk, for every Jew everywhere at risk, and for every Jew who chooses, Israel is home. It's existence before the Holocaust would have saved millions. It's existence after the Holocaust saved and created millions. Seventy years after the Holocaust, Jews in Europe are in in need of it again. We must "never again" be the Jews of appeasement and paralyzing fear. Regarding Boehner's invitation to Bibi. At a time when there are those who would deal with protocol and politics - an agreement with Iran is taking shape that would risk Israel's existence.Let us get our priorities in order. Arnold Charitan, President
