Synod Assembly Reimbursement Forms Now Available
The Synod Assembly Reimbursement Request Form and the Travel Equalization Request Form are now available for download from the
IK Synod website. Upon request, retired rostered leaders, and rostered leaders under call in institutional, military and campus ministry settings may request reimbursement for some of their expense related to participation at the synod assembly. New in 2016, we are experimenting with a travel equalization policy for those congregations who had a great distance to travel to attend the synod assembly. Any congregation who traveled more than 300 miles round-trip can request travel equalization funds if they desire. Download the form for more details.

Interested in Mission Development?
Would you like to get a handle on the practical nuts and bolts of church planting? Would you like to get extensive hands-on training in urban church planting? If so, then check out these two new opportunities from the Lutheran Church Planters Network:
The first opportunity is to participate in a 5-day church planters boot camp, to be held at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago from July 18-22. Rub shoulders with experienced church planters and get equipped with the tools you need to take the next step in planting a church. The cost for the program is $500 per participant.
The second opportunity is to apply for a new one-year stipended church planter residency program in Chicago, starting this fall. Potential residents may be ordained clergy, seminarians, youth ministers or non-ordained evangelists.
Living Lutheran, an online publication of the ELCA, invites you to share in the sense of
purpose that our faith brings to our lives. The goal is to provide a place for members and friends alike to find lively engagement in faith and life. Here you'll find the voices of ELCA members, as well as what's happening in our church both across the country and around the world. We have resources for congregations, ideas to inspire and places to share what's on your mind. Click here for the most recent issue!
