The Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee board of directors is excited to announce that, after conducting a nationwide search, they have selected Mrs. Stacy Gamel as the new Executive Director. Stacy currently serves as the Interim Managing Director for The Centre overseeing day to day operations of the Centre and has been with them for the last six years.
"After a diligent process of reviewing many qualified candidates, we are proud to have selected the best successor to lead this great organization,"
said Jason Hess, Board President.
"I am confident in the vision Stacy will bring to BGCL and the partnerships she will foster.
Her passion for kids, is clearly evident. She brings with her extensive knowledge of youth programming and management experience. I know the Club will continue to do amazing things for our kids with her leadership."
Stacy will begin at the Club on Tuesday, July 5.
Stacy is replacing Mary Martin who has been with the Club for 12 years, serving the last 5 as Executive Director. She is leaving the position to pursue other opportunities. A community open house is being held in Mary's honor for all to come and wish her well in her endeavors. The event will be Thursday, July 21 in the back room of Sauce from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
