It will be a great night to come out and enjoy the serenity of the winery without the noise of the cicadas. Please ignore the tree that fell over in the latest storm as you come down the driveway. You are more than welcome to take a limb or two on your way out. If you haven't had Poppy's comfort food you are missing something wonderful. He is also bringing one of his homemade desserts, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheese Cake. You will need a ladder to eat it!   Check Poppy's full menu online.
Evolution playing this Saturday, June 25th
If you didn't experience the sound of Evolution last year don't miss it this year. They have a unique and relaxing sound that lends itself to the surrounding environment. At the same time they are playing you can talk quietly with your significant other like you are on your first date. Disclosure for music gestapo's: They only play their original music!

Yoga and a Wine Chaser !
Don't delay reserve a spot for one of these yoga classes Saturday, July 18 and August 27th at 12:30 p.m. Katie Gilbert, a RYT-200 certified yoga instructor, will take beginners and intermediates through 60 minutes of vinyasa flow. Focusing on breathing, staying present and stretching your body and mind. You will walk away with a sense of peace and relaxation and ready for a glass of wine! Bring your own mat, an open mind, and a thirst for wine.
$15 fee includes 60-minute yoga class and a glass of wine.

Girls Night Out June 29th
Girls Night Out is the last Wednesday's of the month. That means female gender only guys. This is not a speed dating opportunity! See you June 29th and Poppy's Roadside Diner will be there too.
Wine and Paint with Natalie July 22
Natalie will be painting something very similar to this photo. She will walk you step by step to create this beautiful painting. During this 1 1/2 - 2 hr session she will teach you basic color theory and brush techniques and step by step instruction on how to create every element in the painting!  Price per person : $30 includes glass of wine and all the painting supplies. This will be Natalie's first time at the winery so lets make her feel welcome.

This letter was received recently. Considering I haven't had anyone playing at the winery I found this entertaining. Can't wait to see what they send or do after this weekend when Evolution plays their unique and original music.

[Here is my original post] During the past year the music licensing agency BMI has been harassing wineries relentlessly to pay them an exorbitant fee to have live music at their venues. The $1,500 fee they requested is not something many of us can afford or justify. BMI is using a software program to scan website for key words like Live Music, Bands and Playing to name a few.  Just for kicks and grins I have added those key words to this posting  to see how long it is before they contact me. Here is my disclosure, "I do not allow artist that play cover songs/licensed music at the winery. Yes I believe music artist need to be paid for their art." I will report back how long it takes and the bullying response that I will get!
