A Word From Our President
Diversity in spades is what we observed and experienced most recently. We have seen growth in our membership and community, with diverse businesses joining and ranging from the American Lung Association, Te'Kila, to  Mathnasium. This diversity represents businesses responding to the needs and interests of our Sherman Oaks community, eclectic and forever evolving. The growth in our community includes new business partners such as The Sherman joining our family, reinvigorating our boulevard with their investments. With the school year winding down and an eye on our Sherman Oaks Street Fair, we continue our planning and implementation efforts, opening opportunities for businesses to join this event. As such, we have opened up sign-ups for booths and encourage participants to plan aheadand secure their spot.

Community Updates

Tree Trimmings in Sherman Oaks
If you are in need of tree trimming, you may request a free tree trimming permit from the City of LA and have a City approved tree trimmer perform the work.  If any work is performed that is not approved by the City, significant fines and penalties will be incurred. For more information, visit LA City's Urban Forestry website or call Urban Forestry at 213-847-3077.

L APD Update
There has been an uptick in business break ins in Sherman Oaks.  Make sure your alarm company has your most recent contact information.  One recent burglar got away with thousands of dollars of merchandise because the alarm company could not locate the business owner and did not dispatch the police.

Te'kila Opening
Sherman Oaks is excited to welcome new restaurant and tequila bar, Te'kila, to the neighborhood. This authentic Mexican hotspot, also located in Hollywood, has delicious margaritas, street tacos, and quesadillas. The Chamber joined Te'kila for an exciting opening event on Wednesday, June 8th and is excited to see Te'kila bringing great food and drink to Sherman Oaks.
