TO: District 1 OML Member Municipalities (Mayor, Manager, Council-members & Clerk)
The Board seat representing District 1 on the Oklahoma Municipal League Board of Directors is up for election this year and will be voted on at the 2016 OML annual business meeting held during the OML annual conference in Oklahoma City, Thursday morning September 15, 2016. The Honorable Elaine Carr, Mayor for West Siloam Springs, is the current District 1 Board Member, and she has expressed a desire to continue serving your district if reappointed.
Attached is a list of cities and towns in District 1. Any municipal official of any of the above OML member municipalities that is interested in this position should submit a letter of interest, resume and a resolution from your municipality supporting your nomination to the OML offices, 201 NE 23rd Street, Attention: Nominating Committee to be received no later than Friday, July 22, 2016. A sample resolution is included for your convenience.
