An Excerpt from Last Week's Service

Building community takes effort and intentionality.
For those of us new to a community, it takes effort to reach out and allow ourselves to be taken in. For those of us established in a community, it takes effort to reach out, to open our arms and take others in.
It is easy to become familiar and complacent with the status quo, with a way of being or doing. It's easy to become comfortable with a specific group of people.
How much courage does it take to set out and look for that home, that home only half-remembered and half-envisioned?
This is the work that each of us is doing here -whether it is our first visit or our 30th year at USNH. We are seeking that home we catch glimpses of from time to time.

Change in Sunday Worship Service Time
Beginning June 26th, Sunday services at USNH will move to 10:30 am.

Summer Sunday Flowers
In keeping with the more informal nature of our summer worship services, Sunday flowers most often come from our gardens rather than the florist.  Thus we have tucked the order book away until fall.  If you have any questions, please contact Jamie Ross,
our Congregational Administrator, at [email protected].

   Reflections on Small Group Ministry
Sometimes we try to fit the pieces of our lives together like pieces of a puzzle.  Does it sometimes feel as if there is one puzzle piece missing? Maybe it's called "Peace of Mind" or "My Time".  Consider Small Group Ministry and its confidential setting for quiet moments of reflection and connection.

Annual Tag & Plant S ale, July 9

The annual USNH giant tag and plant sale will take place in the Social Hall, foyer, and outside spaces, on Saturday, July 9 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.  The sale is open to the local community ($5 from 8:30-9, free from 9-12).  This is a fundraiser for USNH that last year netted $2,000 and gives us at USNH an opportunity to transfer unneeded items to others who would use them.

Please set aside useable items such as kitchen items, linens, toys and games, jewelry, office supplies, books, planters, artwork and frames, sports equipment, Christmas items, and decorative pieces.  Please no computers, TVs, or clothing.  Closer to the time, we'll be asking for plants  divided from plants
in your  home or yard.

We will be accepting goods for the sale from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, Wednesday, July 6, Thursday, July 7, and Friday, July 8.
Please save items until then.

We Need YOU!
We need help with the Plant & Tag Sale
If you could come on one of the four evenings (6:30-8:30) prior to the sale on July 9th or come for two hours on the day of the sale that would be very helpful.
Please sign up on the Tag Sale Board which is either in the lobby or the social hall.  It wanders.
This is a great fundraiser for USNH and it needs all hands on deck.

Coming to the Northeast July 10th
Zo Tobi, whose music has graced General Assembly in 2014,  2015, and will again in 2016.
He will be in concert  at the Unitarian Universalist Church in  Meriden, CT, on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.

His songs effortlessly combine the energy of modern rock, the passion of gospel, and the catchiness of pop. In-studio and onstage, Zo's rhythmic grooves, musical prowess, lyrical depth, and emotional power call on us to find our place, play our part, and do what we came here to do.
The event is on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/539714836235445/
