ANNUAL INVENTORY
It's that time of year again!

Starting July 8th, access to the Early Learning Library will be temporarily suspended while we take stock of our inventory and make some much-needed changes. All borrowed items must be returned by July 29th so that we may conduct a full inventory which will take place during the first couple weeks of August. Note that we will not be doing any renewals on items during this time and borrowing will resume after inventory is completed, sometime mid-August.

Important dates to remember:
  • July 8th: Last day to borrow items from the Early Learning Library
  • July 29th: Due date for all borrowed items
  • August 1st: Inventory begins
  • Mid August (Dates to be announced): Inventory ends and borrowing for the Early Learning Library resumes

IMPORTANT: WORKSHOP & REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Our website is changing! Please read below for important information regarding this transition.

1. The workshop registration centre has moved.

Starting at the end of this month (June),  workshops will no longer be posted at workshops.volunteerrichmond.ca and will be found instead at our new website, www.rcrg.org/TrainingCentre.

2. There will be no workshops during August.

While we transition to the new website, we will not be hosting any more workshops during the months of July and August. Workshops will resume in September so stay tuned for updates and releases later this summer.

3. Instructions on how to log-in to your online account to register for workshops will be released in July.

All members will be receiving a new online profile in order for you to be able to register for workshops using the new website. This profile will allow you to receive discounts on workshops as well as have access to some other brand new perks that are unique to your online account.

More information about the accounts as well as instructions to log-in to your new accounts will be sent out at the end of July/beginning of August. Once everyone has received an online profile we will then start to release new workshops for September.

Terry Fox Foundation: Little Fox Run

The Terry Fox Foundation is proud to present the 7th Annual Little Fox Run! The Little Fox Run is geared towards children in preschool and daycare, and gives them the opportunity to walk, run, or ride to raise funds for cancer research. It is a tremendous way of introducing Terry Fox to the youngest generation of Canadians and teaching them the values of perseverance and giving. The Foundation is looking for daycares and preschools to host their very own Little Fox Run. The event can be held at your own facility on any date that works best for you. We will also be happy to provide complimentary promotional material and lesson plans to help you organize your event.

For more information, please call 1-888-836-9786 or visit terryfox.org

OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Keeping you updated
The Fee Survey intake period is now over

Thank you to those who participated in the 2016 Fee Survey. The numbers are in and we are currently calculating the differences between 2013 to now. Since 2013, we have seen changes in fees regarding the average cost as well as in regards to the range of fees. However, we received limited data for certain child care fields, especially for multi-age programs and smaller centres, and will be conducting more research for those numbers before we release any data.

The updated and fact-checked Child Care Fee Survey statistics are expected to posted in July.
