I was in the Cook Street village in Victoria recently to meet a friend in the
Serious Coffee shop on Cook Street and I was impressed. Not only were the coffee and snacks really good but it was a perfect spot to meet and chat in comfort.

Coming back from Victoria over the Malahat recently with Trish we stopped at The Malahat Chalet for lunch, we hadn't been in there for years. We were welcomed at the door by John DesBiens, the restaurant manager, and taken to a window seat. The view is spectacular and so was the food. Trish had halibut and I had a meatloaf sandwich; the presentation, portion size and taste was such that it will definitely not be years before we return.
Please tell them you saw them on Seniors 101.
