Along with the other lead partners in JUSTGeorgia, we were thrilled with the attendance and participation at the JUSTGeorgia Institute, which met on June 8th. It was attended by more than 120 professionals and was a day full of delving into issues that included:
- Learning about current policy developments and access points at the local, state, and federal level;
- Identifying and prioritizing social and juvenile justice issues that are seen statewide;
- Exploring future models of statewide collaboration and learning about opportunities for collaboration and leadership.
The meeting was a cross-section of leaders, including community activists, government officials, policy experts, faith leaders, and many others with a passion for championing juvenile justice laws and services based on best practices to better serve Georgia's children and promote safer communities.
Thank you to all that attended! And thank you to the Trustees of the Sapelo Foundation for their generous support of JUSTGeorgia.
