Fireworks
Osawatomie 4th of July Fireworks!    A firework display will be at the city lake on July 4th beginning at dusk. No fireworks may be set off by the public at the lake. Discharge of fireworks in the city will be allowed between 8 am-10 pm from June 29th-July 3rd and 8 am-11 pm on July 4th.  Discharge of fireworks on streets and public property is prohibited.

Friends of the Mentally Ill Foundation -
 are planning to hold a garage sale later this summer as part of our fundraising efforts. We would appreciate any donations for our sale (no clothing please). The tentative date is Saturday, August 6th. We continue to collect aluminum and scrap metal to recycle as part of our fundraising. There is still room to have an engraved brick ordered and placed at the Old Main Site on the State Hospital grounds. This is an opportunity to honor or to have a brick placed in memory of someone. The cost of the brick is $25. Our annual membership in the Foundation is $5 for an individual, sponsor membership $50, patron membership $100 and benefactor membership $500. We appreciate the support of our Foundation members. Barnapalooza
Lakemary Center Barnapalooza - Come join us for a big old fashioned barn party on August 20th at 6pm. P roceeds from this event will go toward building a therapeutic barn and garden for the children and adults we serve and be called Lakemary Ranch!  Get your tickets before July 20th for this event for $40 (ticket prices go up July 21st to $50). Let There Be Light
Let There Be Light Fellowship Church - Join us for a Bible Study that will help in the times that we live - Battle Plan for Prayer. W e will meet July 11th and August 8th at 7pm. Class is free but there is a book ($10.50) and workbook ($16.00) that go along with it, if someone wants them (shipping $1.50 for a total of $28.00 for both).
