7-15-16! It'll be held at DoubleTree Hilton in Ontario and we will be recognizing both the Small and Large Business of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Inducting our new Ambassador Chair along with having our State Senator, Mike Morrell, Inducting our new President-Chair, Ernie Braunwalder with Farmer's Insurance, as my term as President-Chair will now come to an end. However, before my term ends, I will be presenting a recap of all of the 2015-2016 accomplishments that the chamber has had and provide a state of the chamber presentation.
 
There will be a lot of delicious food to enjoy, great music to dance to, refreshments and cocktails to enjoy and of course, some great networking and business opportunities! George Runner
Member, Board of Equalization, 1st District

Elected in November 2010 and re-elected in  2014, George Runner represents the State Board of Equalization's First District. He is a leading advocate for California taxpayers.

During his time on the Board, Runner has worked to improve California's tax policies and practices and to create and retain more private sector jobs in our state.

Prior to his election to the Board, Runner served twelve years in the State Legislature, authoring the well-known California Amber Alert and California's Blue Alert.

Runner and his wife, Senator Sharon Runner, are the first husband and wife in California history to have served concurrently in the Legislature. They authored Jessica's Law, a ballot initiative approved by more than 70 percent of California voters in November 2006.

Runner served on the Lancaster City Council, including two years as mayor. In 1976 the Runners founded Desert Christian Schools, which is now one of the largest private schools in California.
