Day One at DS2016  - July 6, 2016
This is the official arrival day for most of our convention attendees and will be capped by a fantastic "Kringle Family Reunion,' presented by Coca-Cola, and hosted by the Grand Village Shops, Kringles Christmas Store, Mel's Hard Luck Diner.  Check out all the details below!  And don't tell me there is nothing to do in Branson!

Your Welcome Committee, led by Trish Parris, will have volunteers at all four convention hotels, beginning at 9:00 a.m..  They will have your registration packages, tickets to all meals shows and events, and your all important convention wrist band. P ut it on immediately and don't take it off, you will need to show it for everything starting on July 6th.  

Bra
nson Ticket and Travel will also have staff at these locations to handle any reservation questions or changes.   They can also arrange for tickets and admissions to over 100 showw and attractions around Branson.. You can also call them at (800) 432-4202.

For those arriving prior to July 6 or after July 6, there will be special instructions on how to collect your registration packages.  (Most often it will be at the hotel front Desk.)  There will also be an information booth at the Chateau on the Lake.  Again, you can call Branson Ticket and Travel for assistance.

You will receive tickets to any shows, meals and attractions that you paid for.  Do not loose these.  We cannot replace them.  However the hotel, shows and attractions can sell you new tickets.

Your custom plastic wrist band, has a locking snap and can only be removed with a knife or scissors.  It will be part of your registration package  It must be worn at all times. Please do not take it off your wrist or share it with anyone else.  

The official wrist band gives you access to everything at the host hotel plus  plus the Ferris Wheel, the Welcome Reception and participation participation in the Parade of Red Suits, The Opening Session, SNO-lympics, all workshops, our vendors at the Kringle Family Showcase and our closing session with the International Santa Claus Hall of Fame.  

Also included in your registration package will the Commemorative Souvenir Program Book.  This 44 page, full-color, book has welcome letters from the City, the convention schedule, vendor listings, workshop schedules and lots of special advertisements from the convention vendors, sponsors and other santa related advertisers.

  
EVENT SCHEDULE FOR JULY 6
The first official day of our convention begins early for some, as they have an 8:00 a.m. tee time at Thousand Hills Golf Resort.   WorldWide Photography will be on hand to take photos of each foursome playing in this fun tournament being Chaired by Santas Doug 
Portwood and Tim Etienne.

At t he Chateau on the Lake, our Headquarter Hotel,  Santa Kevin Scott will be directing a very special  "Santa Blood Drive"  hosted by the American Red Cross.  A special Banquet room has been cleared and from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nurses and other professional will be on hand to help collect, "The Gift of Life."


There will be some special treats for everyont and the Blood Drive Mascot, "Santa Hemo" (for Hemogoblin) will be there for photos.  One special goal of the event is to see if they can set a Guinness Record for the most Kringles donating blood on a single day. 

From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, also at the Chateau, everyone can check out all of the speci al vehicles Santas have driven and brought to the convention in the  "My other Car is  a Sleigh" auto show.  Hosted by World Wide Photography, every car owner will receive a special plaque with photo of their vehicle. 

Coordinated by Santa Roger Edmonds, these are also the cars and vehicles that you will see appearing in the "Parade of Red Suits," at Branson Landing the following morning.   

At Noon, or there-a-bout, the Track Family Fun Park is inviting all Kringles to join them for a World Record attempt of "The most Kringles ever on a Ferris Wheel.  The original "Navy Pier" Ferris Wheel is now in Branson, and they would like to attemp a worlds record by putting 240 Santas and Mrs. Claus on the ferris wheel.  So Meet us at the Ferris Wheel.  It's the biggest thing in Branson, so it won't be hard to miss.  Santa Casual with Santa Hats, please!

From 2 pm to 10 pm The Vendor Showcase will open for all to shop and see all the special suits, accessories and products for Santas and Mrs. Claus.


KRINGLE FAMILY REUNION - Opening Reception!

The afternoon, from 3 pm to 6 pm, will also see the first "Kringle Family Reunion"  at the Grand Village Shops, site of the first Parade of Red Suits in 2006.

Presented by Coca-Cola, our hosts will be Kringle's, the largest Christmas store in the region, Mel's Hard Luck Dinner, and the Grand Village Shops, who all hosted the original Paradeof Red Suits.  Some really nice door prizes will be given away to a few lucky Santas.  

We will have live entertainment, refreshments and snacks, plenty of photo opportunities, special discounts for shopping, and lots for everyone to do.

Coca-Cola will have "Bubbles" the Polar Bear for you to t ake photos with.  We will also have some fun sets where you can pose for photos to send to family or post on the internet.

Mel Bilbo the o wner of Kringles has arranged a  30% discount  during the reception  for all Santas and M rs., Claus, and will continue with a 25% discount through out the convention.
