OUR FELLOWSHIP IN THE WORLD'S SHORTEST PARADE

We are happy to announce that our Fellowship will walk in the Aptos 4th of July parade ("World's Shortest Parade").  We did this in the past and had a great time. We will have signs for children to carry and be sure to wear your UUFSCC tee shirt!  We will carry our banner and signs saying,
Celebrating 50 years in Aptos     and       150 Years in Santa Cruz
We hope all members, friends and families will participate. This is an important way of letting people know who we are.  This is a very short parade, and mostly down hill. We meet near State Park Drive in Aptos (Wells Fargo Bank area) around 9:45 and the parade starts at 10:00.

Contact Sylvia at  334-0766 /  [email protected]  or Sharon Mc Graham 786-9678 to let them know you will be attending. If you forget, or decide at the last moment, just show up!

Following the parade, there will be a "Party in the Park" with food, games, archery, zorbs, and the wonderful music group EXTRA LARGE .

           GENERAL ASSEMBLY-WATCH IT ONLINE
General Assembly is the national gathering of the Unitarian Universalist Association. This year's theme is "Heartland: Where Faiths Connect" and it takes place in Columbus, Ohio, June 21 to June 26. Follow the ceremonies, speakers, general session, and more online.  here.   The Banner Parade on Wednesday evening was spectacular-and you can see this and other past events from the link.   The live stream will be active through closing on Sunday.   The Ware Lecture on Saturday evening (6/25) should be great with speaker Krista Tippet.  Event times on the website are East Coast time zone, so California will be 3 hours earlier.

BOOK CLUB

Tuesday June 28th, 7 pm in the Gallery.

June book is A Chosen Faith by John Buehrens and Forrest Church.
Unitarian Universalism offers an appealing alternative to religions that stress theological creeds over individual conviction and belief. This is a thought-provoking, entertaining book for searchers, newcomers and lifelong learners.
