2016 Tri-City Raceway Park Season
Guys Mills --   The 2016 racing season at Tri-City Raceway Park got underway on Sunday, June 19th as Bryce Davis captured the Bill Emig Memorial for the RUSH Pro-Late Models.  Cody Bova (305 Sprints), William Hurrellbrink (Pro-Stocks) and Adam Hilton (RUSH Sportsman Modifieds) were also victorious.

Daryl Charlier and Kyle Lukon led the 24 car RUSH Pro-Late Model field to the green for the Bill Emig Memorial.  Third place starter Bryce Davis quickly took command and led the first two circuits before John Waters took command.  Waters led the field until a lap 15 caution for Bob Mitcham slowed the field.  Davis wrestled the lead away from Waters when the action resumed and sped away from the field.  The event's final caution waved on lap 22 when Clinton Hersch and Zach Kane spun in turn two.  Davis went on to lead the final eight circuits to claim the win over Will Thomas, who started seven, Lukon, Waters and Alan Dellinger.

Waters set quick time of the night for the RUSH Pro-Lates at 19.855.  Mike Pegher, Jr., Davis and Lukon wont the RUSH heat events and Steve Hollabaugh captured the B-Main.  Daryl Charlier scored the win in the K&N Dash.

Struthers Ohio driver Cody Bova led the 20 lap 305 Sprint main event wire to wire to capture the victory.  Bova led the first circuit until the caution waved for C.J. Jones.  Bova again took command when the racing action resumed and built up a considerable lead over Priest, Vinnie Daugherty, Rob Felix and Justin Pack.  Bova was just about to enter lapped traffic when the event's final caution waved when Daugherty slowed in turn three.  Bova went on to lead the final eight laps to claim the win over Andy Priest, George Hobaugh, Ken Rossey and Felix completed the top five.

Sprint prelims went to Priest and C.J. Jones.

Brandon Ritchey and Chelsie Kriegisch led the 20 car RUSH Sportsman Modified field to the green however it was New York invader Adam Hilton who would lead the first circuit.  Ritchey spun in turn two to bring out the event's first caution.  Racing resumed with Hilton in front and Chas Wolbert, Kriegisch, Nick Ritchey and Brian Schaffer battling for positions two through five.  At the checkered flag it was Hilton who scored the victory.  Nick Ritchey grabbed the second spot from Wolbert on lap 19.  Schaffer and Kriegisch rounded out the top five.

Schaffer and Rocky Kugel won the RUSH Sportsman Modified heats and Kole Holden won the K&N Dash.

The evening's final event, the 15 lap Pro-Stock feature, was led to the green by William Hurrellbrink and Rod Laskey.  Hurrellbrink took the top spot and went on to lead the entire distance to claim his first ever win at the Franklin, PA facility.  Eighth place starter Andy Buckley, Laskey, Jackson Humanic and Randy Wyant rounded out the top five.

Humanic and Bobby Whitling picked up the wins in the Pro-Stock prelims.

Tri-City Raceway Park will be back in action on Sunday, July 31st as we present the finale for the "I-79 Summer Shootout" featuring the Artic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars, RUSH Pro-Late Models and E-Mods.
