CONFIRMATION
Friday, May 20, 7:00 pm
We have seven wonderful teenagers participating in Confirmation this year, all of whom celebrated becoming b'nai mitzvah at the Temple, some of whom have parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents who are in Confirmation pictures in our hall, and all of whom possess a piece of the Jewish future. Join us for our 7:00 pm service when this year's Confirmation Class confirms their place in the chain of tradition. Their Confirmation will make for an especially beautiful Shabbat for us all.
The decorations on the oneg tables are being provided to help in meal preparation for the Homeless Alliance Project. Anyone can add to the donations by mailing a check to the Temple, with "Homeless Alliance" in the memo line. |

Exhibit Details:
The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa is hosting a special exhibit, titled "Jews Rock!" featuring photographs of Jewish icons in music through the lens of photojournalist Janet Macoska including Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Paul Simon, Max Weinberg of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and many more. In addition, the Museum will showcase a select group of Oklahoma artists with original pieces of artwork featuring Jewish rock artists. The Museum has provided ten artists with an unfinished guitar body and assigned them a Jewish musician to paint but the design is completely up to them. Their work will be displayed in our museum for the entire exhibit.
The details: Meet at TBI at 10:15 am to carpool and caravan. Please let us know if you would be a driver and how many you can take in your car. Please note if you would prefer to ride with others. This ROAD TRIP is brought to you by the Adult Education Committee.

June & July
Support groups are an appropriate and effective way to help bereaved people heal. Because they offer a safe place for people to do the work of mourning, support groups encourage members to reconcile their losses and go on to find continued meaning in life and living.Attending a support group facilitated by skilled leaders often brings comfort and understanding beyond many peoples' expectations.
Temple member Stephanie Brill, LCSW, of Inner Treasures Counseling, will be offering her professional services to the Temple and Jewish community weekly on Wednesday nights, from 5:30 - 7:00pm, during the months of June & July. Everyone is welcome. More information will be available on the Temple's website at www.thetempleokc.org.
