As the Community Foundation continues to grow, so does our need for additional staff to better serve our donors and community. We have begun the search for a part-time Finance Director to join our team!

Paying it Forward Through Support of Education

As a way to give back to the community through education, we are pleased to announce a newly created scholarship fund by Randy and Judi Johnson.

Spinoso Masters Scholarship

- Up to $10,000 to cover tuition costs of post-undergraduate or masters studies.

Renaissance Scholarship - A $1,000 renewable scholarship for an individual returning to school for his or her undergraduate degree.

Providing Peace of Mind Through Grant Support

In spring of 2015, out of a desire to provide rapid emergency access to residents who have significant health and/or mobility issues, the Sycamore Fire Department applied for a Community Needs Grant to assist in the purchase of Knox Box units for residents.

In case you missed the "What Gives" Spotlight Edition last week, we are excited to report that over $300,000 was raised in online and in-person donations, which will be proportionately matched by $103,750. That is more than double of what was raised during Give Local DeKalb County 2015!
