Edward Jones representative Misty Reints has moved into her new office in the 5th Avenue Center, and she would like to invite everyone to come out and take a look. She is hosting an open house this Thursday from noon to 2pm with hot dogs, frozen cabana, and Nate with Balloon. Because this is the first day after school is out, bring the kids for a fun lunch!

The Chamber is very excited to have Senator James Lankford spend Wednesday, June 1 in Miami. He will be visiting several businesses, meeting with City administration and Tribal Leaders. The Senator will also be meeting with community members and business leaders during a luncheon at the Coleman Ballroom. Help us welcome the Senator in grand fashion, make your reservation today by calling the Chamber office.

The Grand Lake Shriners will be hosting their annual golf scramble on Saturday, June 4. If you are a golfer, please join the fun and help raise money for this great organization!

I am excited...the Ottawa County Farmers' Market will start on June 9. There is still time to signup to sell items. The more the merrier!

Remember to Shop Local First all year long.

The Suitcase Project

Help support children placed in foster care by donating a new or nearly new suitcase.

Call Teresa Karliskint at 918-533-2656. She will pick-up donated suitcases and deliver them to the Ottawa County Foster Care Unit.

Senator Lankford will be spending the day in Miami visiting businesses, community members and Tribal Leaders. Anyone is able to attend the luncheon to meet and hear an update from the Senator. He will also have a questions and answer session at the conclusion of the event.

Senator Lankford was elected to the U.S. Senate in a 2014 special election replacing retired Senator James Coburn.
