Countdown To Camp

Camp is just around the corner, and we are excited about everyone's arrival. In June, we'll greet over 408 campers. 94 are in their first year of life with T1D and 63 are coming to Camp Kudzu for the first time.

While we have a waitlist for June sessions, the good news is that we have a few spots for children in our July Sprouts Day Camp and plenty of space in overnight camp, Session 3, July 31-August 7. Please register soon and get connected to a great community!

Parents!
Please update your camper's medical information online by clicking here. We need to know if your child or teen...
  • Is now using a CGM
  • Changed the type of insulin used
  • Started or stopped using an insulin pump
  • Has changes in other medications
  • Has new allergies and/or dietary needs
If you have other changes, such as in emergency contacts, please email Whitney LeHew, [email protected]

Once camp begins, you can see the fun in action through our photo gallery. We'll upload photos each evening.

  • Help on departure days, 8:30 am until afternoon Friday, June 10, or 17.
We also need a few more good men to serve as activity staff and counselors in June. Learn more.

Medical Corner:
Be Sun Safe

Sunny days are upon us. Dr. Jordana Heaven, a veteran Clinician of Camp Kudzu and Pediatrician of Woodstock Pediatrics, shares advice on how stay "sun safe" this summer. We need some sun exposure because it is our primary source of vitamin D which our bodies use to absorb calcium.  BUT it doesn't take very much sun exposure to get what we need.  Read Dr. Heaven's article, Be Sun Safe, to learn how to play outside safely!
