The Significance Of Narasimha Jayanthi is the gaining good over evil. To restore the Dharma (Prahlada) by killing the demon Hiranyakashipu who did adharma by the proud of his boon. Lord Narasimha came out of a pillar at a sandhya samayam (Between the day and night) and he placed him on the middle of doar base and killed him with his nails.

Srimat payonidhi nikethana chakra pane,
Bhogeendra Bhoga mani rajitha punya moorthe,
Yogeesa saswatha saranya Bhabdhi potha,
Lakshmi Nrsimha Mama Dehi Karavalambam.                  1
 
Oh Great God Lakshmi Nrsimha,
Who lives in the ocean of milk,
Who holds the holy wheel as weapon,
Who wears the gems  of the head,
Of Adhisesha as ornaments,
Who has the form of good and holy deeds,
Who is the permanent protection of sages,
And who is the boat which helps us cross,
This ocean of misery called life,
Please give me the protection of your hands.

Hanuman avatar is considered as the avatar of great devotion, strength, knowledge, divine power, bravery, intelligence, spirit for selfless service and etc. He has devoted his life only for his Lord Rama and Mata Sita and never shows his bravery and intelligence without any purpose. The devotees of the Lord Hanuman always pray him for getting blessed with the same for their bright future. He is worshipped in many ways by his devotees; some reads the Hanuman Chalisa to get the blessings.
मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं
जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठ ।
वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं
श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये ।
 Mano-Javam Maaruta-Tulya-Vegam
Jite [a-I] ndriyam Buddhi-Mataam Varissttha |
Vaata-Atmajam Vaanara-Yuutha-Mukhyam
Shriiraama-Duutam Sharannam Prapadye |

Meaning:

1:  Who is  Swift  as  Mind  and  Fast  as  Wind , 
2:  Who is the  Master  of the  Senses  and Honoured for His  Excellent Intelligence ,  Learning  and  Wisdom , 
3:  Who is  Son  of the  Wind God  and  Chief  among the  Monkeys ,
4:  To that  Messenger  of  Sri Rama , I take  Refuge.
