Great Country Runners
Super Hero Farmers

We did the Farm and the Vineyard proud on Sunday. Thirteen of us represented GCF and BMV at the Second Annual Super Hero 5K last weekend . We were the largest corporate contingent on the course, and we had more fun than anybody else. Left to right in the photo are Colleen Gallivan, Jane Schwartz, Matthew Raymond, Ava Royce, Mark Dewey, Michele Wacker, Ruth Zurschmeide, Gracie Zurschmeide, Carly Zurschmeide, Maya Royce, Emma Royce, Janet Dewey, and Scarlett Royce. In addition to having a great time, Gracie and Emma finished second and third in their age group, and one of us finished 21st over-all out of 240 runners and walkers! We attracted a lot of attention -- people rightly assuming that our stamina, enthusiasm, and good looks all come from eating farm food. Some of us are already signing up for the Second Annual Color Me Clarke 5K in Berryville on June 5. Join us for another good time.

Kelsey and Kim held down the kitchen while Monica was in the Florida Keys swimming with the manatees and pretending to like Jimmy Buffett.
