Dr. Waters receives first ever Community Physician of the Year Award

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin recognized David Waters, MD, pediatrician at Sixteenth Street with it's first ever Community Physician of the Year Award.

Through his work at Sixteenth Street and Children's, Dr. Waters strives to improve the health of his patients and the communities in which they live. Dr. Waters is very active in various community health initiatives.

"I'm honored to receive this award, " said Dr. Waters. "It is a privilege to be the first of what I'm sure will be a long list of dedicated community physicians to be recognized." 

Dr. Waters was recognized at an event held by Children's on April 8.

Aurora donates $1 million building to Sixteenth Street

Aurora has donated a building valued at $1 million to Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers as part of their Better Together Fund, to expand access to primary and behavioral 
health care in Milwaukee. This gift is in addition to the $1 million grant Aurora gave to Sixteenth S treet last year, and will be used for building renovations and to offset loses. The building will be located at 4570 S. 27th Street.


Aurora has also agreed to accept referrals to specialists from Sixteenth Street, which is an invaluable partnership and service for our patients.

Sixteenth Street - Waukesha now accepts DeanCare health insurance

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers - Waukesha is excited to announce that we will now accept DeanCare enrollees as of June 1, 2016. We look forward to being able to serve even more people in our community and do what we do best.
