Dear Friends,

This Sunday, we are celebrating a birthday of sorts. This is Pentecost Sunday, the day when the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples and transformed them from frightened, retiring people into fearless evangelists, proclaiming that God is on the move! Our text is from Acts 2:1-21 . God's Spirit has dramatic results, and more than 3,000 persons came to faith that day.

Let us prepare to encounter the Spirit in a fresh way in worship this week as we celebrate this important day.
