Deferred Compensation Terms

Asset Classes (Types) - Types of investments available for participant contributions and assets. In general, asset classes may be divided into stocks, bonds, and cash and cash-like products including money market instruments, Treasury bills and CDs. Meet a Retirement Planning Specialist: Jim Allen

Meet Jim.

Jim Allen ChFC, CRC, FLMI, CEBS
Jim graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.  He has spent the majority of his 30 year financial services career public sector retirement plans. Jim is a Retirement Planning Specialist who assists Ohio Deferred Compensation participants as they approach or navigate through retirement. Jim holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC), Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designations.  He also holds the FINRA Series 6 and the Ohio Life and Health insurance licenses. Jim is a lifelong Columbus, Ohio resident who enjoys playing golf, following high school and college sports, and spending time with his wife and adult son.
