We will be celebrating ASPIRE's 25th Anniversary. ASPIRE provides support to underrepresented students in our college. Former members are encouraged to share photos, memories or mementos with our
coordinator prior to the event.
Teachers, parents and their children are invited to join us at Perkins Student Center for a relaxing mind and body demonstrating how to incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine. This free session is on Saturday, June 4 from 1:30-2:30pm, immediately after the UD Brunch with Mascots.

Melanie Mundell, MI '09, obtained a grant to create a Biotechnology Pathway at Newark Charter School STEM Academy. As a result of her work, she was presented with Delaware BioScience's Educator of the Year award in April.
Disney Hero for Change

Twelve-year-old Braeden Mannering (son of
Christy, HS '15) received Disney Radio's
Heroes for Change award for the creation of 3Bs, providing more than 6,500 healthy snacks to low-income/homeless people.

Looking Back While Moving Forward Mike Adams, HDFS alumnus and NFL player, visited UD to discuss the challenges he faced growing up in Paterson, N.J., his experiences as a student and co-captain of the 2003 national championship football team, and what he is doing now to give back to the community.
