Good News. A number of projects appear to be moving forward. Finally.

We have had about a month of slow sales and no paying jobs ( and vehicle deaths). Resources are exhausted ,and now everything will probably happen all at once!
Please assist in any way you can. BUY,contribute, spread the word. These are only a few of the salvage opportunities out there.
If the amount if information here doesn't exhaust you, there is more dry, loquacious verbiage here:
Author's note: In case you haven't noticed, I am a person that salvages objects, not a writer.Hopefully my skill at selecting salvage exceeds that of my writing.

1) We may have a buyer or two for c. 1730 wide flooring. This means we have the means (see what I mean) to start salvaging from the house pictured. The deal is we have to pay for salvage rights. Then of course we have to pay for removing the materials, taking out the nails and bringing them somewhere. If we have a buyer, we can do this. Sell off site, deliver to buyer = we do not need to store and handle it multiple times. If we have the flooring order in place, once we are there removing it we can also negotiate taking doors and other materials. So keep watch as we will post updates on our progress. The more you buy and the sooner you buy, the more we can save. This is a remarkable house and as much as possible should be saved. Contact us with ideas, requests or for more information.

2) Hope to start salvaging original elements from this 1880 house this week. This house is already scheduled for demolition. However we have time and the owner supports saving as much as possible. Our goal is to not only save architectural elements such as stained glass, exterior shutters, mantels. We also intend on saving all the floors, floor joists, newer elements such as toilets and replacement windows, newer cabinets and appliances. In other words , engage in the best, most extensive salvage possible under the circumstances. Not just grab a few high profile pieces and leave as so often happens with these glorious buildings.

3) C. 1830 addition to an 1810 house. We are hoping to be able to recover all of the materials by deconstructing this addition. Lots of good materials including oak rafters, wide board she athing and period posts and beams.
C. 1830 addition we've bid for deconstruction

4) Still trying to finance the removal of 50 stained glass windows, barn board, shutters, chairs, tables, booths and others as soon as possible. We have some potential buyers of glass but nothing solidified. We need to sell a half dozen at least in order to pay for the effort to remove all 50. We have about 10 panels out so far. Some urgency here ,the building is unoccupied and two windows have already had rocks thrown through them ,even though there is exterior glass protecting them.

One of 50 windows we COULD recover,if we can sell them as we go to cover the the salvage costs. Over 30 listed on our shopping page now.

5) Vehicle
Just thought I'd throw this in here.
The recent passing of this manager's personal vehicle is another project. This car went to estimates and job sites all over the state. Sadly at 230K miles it was running on 3 cylinders instead of 4. Since Urbanminers is skilled at finding things, we do have a van found for a few hundred dollars, but it is going to need a bit of work. A van (windstar, if you want to call that a van), might have a bit more room for tools and whatever else.

This vehicle has been recycled after a long and eventful life.

 6)
We hope to get this bid as a full deconstruction ,C. 1920 cottage. Basically everything is great salvage.
