Our June registration is now closed. August registration is available for new students only. The deadline to apply is Monday, July 25 2016 by 12 noon. Please click here to register for August auditions.
Chamber Music Recital May 24

On Tuesday, May 24, students from the Music Institute and SDYS Ovation Program will perform in chamber groups at the Mingei International Museum.  Come support your musicians at this concert.

Date & Time:  Tuesday, May 24 7:00pm-8:30pm 
Location:  Mingei Internation Museum, Balboa Park

Tickets will not be available online after 12pm on Thursday, June 2 but may be purchased at the door subject to availability. An additional fee of $10 per ticket will apply to purchases made at the door. Student tickets remain just $10.

Tickets for all Jacobs Music Center Copley Symphony Hall performances will not be available online after 12pm on June 9 but may be purchased at the door subject to availability. An additional fee of $10 per ticket will apply to purchases made at the door (student tickets remain just $10).

Congratulations to Christine Kim who will be performing Flute Concerto in D, K.314 by W.A. Mozart with the Mira Costa College Symphony Orchestra as the winner of the 2016 MTAC Competition. Performances will be on May 21 and 22.  For more information please click here.

Excited for  Bruno Bello 's acceptance into the Sphinx Program!

Congratulations to Song Lee who will be performing Violin Concerto No 1 by Nicolo Paganini with the Mira Costa College Symphony Orchestra as the winner of the 2016 MTAC Competition. Performances will be on May 21 and 22. Ms. Lee also won the 2016 VOCE State 
Final Competition for intermediate strings.

Congratulations to Yeawon (Erica) Hwang, for attending Helen B. Goodlin Scolarship Competition with the Youth Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, and winning 1st place in Senior Instrumental Division.

Way to go Minji Kim! For attending Helen B. Goodlin Scolarship Competition on May 14 and winning 3rd place in Junior Instrumental Division.

San Diego Bass Fest 

San Diego State University will be hosting the first annual San Diego Bass Fest!  This intense and informative festival aims to educate and bring together the bass community of San Diego. There will be internationally renowned bassist and educators there providing one-on-one instruction to students of all levels.  More information can be found here

Summer Music in Tuscany
The small town of Sarteano can be your home base for two weeks of music and Italian living. Make new friends, perform in beautiful venues, and take time to enjoy the many delights of Tuscany. Daily rehearsals, coaching and private lessons are augmented with basic Italian language and culture classes, a master class and a final performance each week.
