With $500 off, you could own an Upton for as little as $2000. Handmade alongside our finest custom basses, the UB Standard Models are a tremendous value.

Wood and glue...its like Oreo's and Milk.  They just go together...they love each other!

New bass making is what we're known for, but years before the first Upton Bass was ever built, we were repairing and restoring them.  We credit the years of restoration under our belt with our success in new making. By carefully studying how basses break, we've been able to approach our basses with history as our guide on where things need to be rethought so as not to keep making the same mistakes as the countless shops and luthiers before us.

This week's report is the start of a long term restoration here at the shop. Be sure to follow it on   www.stringrepair.com well as I'll be updating throughout the restoration.

We LOVE what we do and we LOVE doing it for you!

1800's Mittenwald
www.StringRepair.com

Years ago we started the String Repair website with a goal of allowing owners to track the repair progress of active work, as well as De-mystify the back room happenings of repair shops.  The website was a huge success and the page views were through the roof!  This website was built and coded by Gary and myself LONG before the days of blogging and platforms like WordPress even existed.  We've updated the original site since then to bring it into modern times, and we've got a bug to start blogging again, and we thought this old Mittenwald bass was the perfect candidate.

We'll be updating here every now and then, so be sure to follow it closely on the StringRepair.com website if you're Jonesing for more regular updates!
