Hats optional - Royal Tea Fundraiser set May 29th during Green Haven Shelter's 25 years serving the community!
Green Haven Shelter has been a refuge for women in Orillia for 25 years this year and to acknowledge the milestone the local women's shelter board of directors has planned several events to raise awareness and funds for the local organization.
White Lions Tea House will be the setting for the next event - a 'Royal Tea' being served on Sunday, May 29th with sittings at 12:30 pm or 2:30 pm. The full tea menu includes assorted tea sandwiches, appetizers, scones with jam/curd and cream, fresh fruit, tea or coffee and costs $30 per person. Tea goers will have the chance to win door prizes for wearing a 'Royal Tea' hat/outfit at each sitting...however hats are optional.
Green Haven Board Member (left to right) Wendy Thorne, Executive Director Liz Westcott and Fundraising Committee Members Vicki McNaney and Berith Leclerc model their hats and have their tickets ready for the 'Royal Tea' fundraiser taking place May 29 at White Lions Tea House.
To book your preferred sitting and purchase tickets or for more information contact White Lions Tea House (33 Westmount Drive 705-259-0568), Green Again...for new beginnings (33 Mississaga Street East, inside Heritage Mall 705-325-0686) or call Wendy Thorne at 705-503-0420.
