Catch up on all the latest volunteers news at Literacy KC!

On April 28th, Literacy KC unveiled our new logo and brand.  Watch the video below to learn more about our new look!

We are proud to showcase our Logo Reveal Video, which gives further insight into the meaning of our new brand!

Our New Brand

Each of the four main rectangles represent more than just open books. They represent different facets of literacy: reading, writing, math, and digital skills. They also represent the diverse community that is crucial to the success of our organization:partners/donors, students, teachers, and volunteers.  Each relies on the other for structure and support.

This brand change was an important step to position Literacy KC for the future, but it doesn't change our vision of improving lives through literacy or our supporters' vital role. We will always be the Literacy KC you know and trust and we will continue to improve and grow!
Represent Mentors Needed!

Literacy KC is looking for business professionals from a variety of backgrounds to become mentors in our newest young adult literacy program. Represent is a civic and youth development opportunity in Kansas City. It's core purpose is to offer young adults, 16-24, a well-rounded learning experience in workforce habits and communication skills, through intensive literacy training, artistic expression, and direct contact with Kansas City professional life. If you are interested you can attend an hour long informational meeting on Monday June 6th at 5 PM at Literacy KC, 211 W. Armour Blvd.

If you have questions or would like to RSVP to the information session, contact Anne Gatschet at [email protected].
