Important City Sticker Changes

Dear Neighbor,
Please make sure to look at your city sticker for its expiration date. Due to a change in the law, the Chicago City Clerk's office
stopped sending out City Sticker renewal reminders by mail on June 1st, 2015.
Beginning July 1, 2016,
you may be ticketed immediately following your City Sticker's expiration.
For example, if your vehicle sticker expires on June 30, you are eligible to be ticketed on July 1.
The $200.00 ticket can be issued daily.
However, the Clerk
announced a change in the
grace period for late fees for City Stickers. T
he grace period for late fees charged when purchasing a City Sticker after the sticker's expiration will be extended from 15 to 30 days effective July 1. If your
vehicle sticker expires June 30, you will have until July 30 to purchase a sticker without
paying an additional $60.00 late fee. However, you will still be subject to a $200 expired City Sticker ticket daily until a new sticker is purchased and displayed.
Remember, City Stickers now have different expiration dates throughout the year. They generally expire six months after your license plate. City Stickers are available for purchase
online
, as well as many
currency
exchanges, many of which are open
on weekends and holidays. Avoid costly and
unnecessary
tickets by purchasing and displaying your City Sticker promptly.
Also effective this week, non-commercial pick-up trucks weighing less than 8,000 pounds will no longer be required to display a special truck sticker. Click here for more information.

May 21st - 22nd from 1-6 PM daily in Jonquil Park, 1001 W. Wrightwood

Visitors can sample domestic and
international wines, browse
art, and enjoy the music of

one day individual
wine
tasting pass is $50, a
daily VIP pass is $75, and a 2-day pass is $90. A portion of

Equitable School Funding Forum
Oscar Mayer Principal Katie Konieczny will be joined by three other school principals to discuss how the CPS budget crisis will impact our schools.
Please come to learn what these cuts mean for our schools and most importantly what parents can do to support the schools. The forum will be held on Monday
, May 23th at 7 pm at Agassiz Elementary School, 2851 N Seminary.
The Chicago Public Schools faces a $1 Billion deficit and has launched the
20 for 20 Campaign seeking equal school funding for Chicago's school children.

Triangle Spring Clean
Join the Old Town Triangle Association on
Saturday, May 21st
for their Triangle Spring Clean. Volunteers are asked to report to the
OTTA office, 1763 N North Park Avenue, at 9 AM
for a "jump start" with coffee, donuts, pastries, and juice for the kids prior to heading out to

Join St. Pauls United Church of Christ for a new concert series,
Young Artists, Their Mentors and Teachers
for their introductory performance Tuesday, May 24th at 6:45 in the St. Pauls Sanctuary, 2335 N. Orchard. The first concert features multiple performers, including 2016 Grammy award winner Nathen Laube. A donation of $15 to the piano
maintenance
fund is suggested.

Office Closed Memorial Day
In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 30th.
City Hall, City of Chicago governmental offices and Chicago Public Libraries will also be closed on these dates to comply with the City of Chicago mandatory
