Keep up on everything GIS, including the Annual International Conference,
GIS growth and activities, local alumni chapters and much more!
THE GIS ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE  IS NEARLY FOUR MONTHS AWAY!

SEPTEMBER 29 - OCTOBER 1, 2016
COLUMBUS, OHIO -  COLUMBUS CONVENTION CENTER

In 2015, the Conference drew nearly 600 students and advisors from over 50 colleges and universities throughout North America, plus 75 sponsors, 65 exhibitors and over 250 industry representatives. Those numbers are growing for this year's event.

For  sponsoring companies , the 45 th  Annual International Conference offers your organization meaningful exposure to the most accomplished students from multiple schools in a single setting. It is the ideal opportunity to meet the future leaders of our industry and support their educational and professional development.  In addition to the benefits your sponsorship provides to your company, your sponsorship also offsets more than 70% of the cost for each of the 570+ student attendees, and supports our year-round programming delivered to over 3000 student members.

Make this small contribution towards your company's future success and leadership!

If you would like further information about sponsorship opportunites, please contact [email protected] . Thank you!
WELCOME BETA CHI! OUR NEWEST GIS CHAPTER!

On April 29, the GIS Grand Chapter chartered Beta Chi, our 70th Chapter, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

A special thank you to students from the Alpha Iota Chapter at St. John's University, the Alpha Omicron Chapter at the University of Hartford, the Tau Chapter at Howard University, and the Xi Chapter at the University of Connecticut who participated in the event.

Congratulations to our newest members!

GIS BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEET IN PHILADELPHIA!

Another successful meeting of the GIS Board of Trustees occurred last month in Philadelphia. On April 21 and 22, the Board gathered at AIG's offices downtown to share ideas and continue building upon the initiatives set forth for the organization. 2016 is proving to be another year filled with growth for GIS. The team met together as a group over these two days, as well as divided into specific committees to focus on growth and development in areas such as fundraising, alumni chapters, professional associations and actuarial science. Thanks to all participants for taking time from your hectic schedules to make GIS a priority. Congratulations on the achievements and progress made during these meetings. It is certainly a prosperous year for Gamma Iota Sigma.
