HOLY, HOLY, HOLY
This Sunday we celebrate the annual festival of the Holy Trinity.  Our one God is actively creating, redeeming and sanctifying day by day.  We proclaim this three-fold truth every  Sunday in our worship:  in creeds, hymns, confessions, baptisms and benedictions.  But remember:  We have been made in God's image.  That image is triune as well.  How are we agents of creation, redemption and sanctification?

COMMUNION MILESTONE
Three children of Nativity are completing their study of Holy Communion with Pastor Mark.  They are:  Eleanor Hammack, Grayson Luther and Jackson McCall.  Each will be recognized over the next two Sundays as we celebrate this milestone on their spiritual journey.

Nativity would like to thank our children's Sunday School teachers this year! Thank you for sharing your gift of teaching and your time with Nativity's children, helping them to grow in their understanding of the bible and how it applies to everyday life. We are very thankful to have you as an important part of our church family! Our teachers this year were:

Emily Propst, Jennie Gillette, Carolyn Anderson, Caroline Ward, Sarah Anderson, Colleen Dieterly, Laura Baylor,  Sarah Asbill, Catherine Johnson, Brian Propst, and Candace Trull. Thank you!

WELCOMING OUR NEW PASTORS WITH GIFT CARDS
Pastors Gregg & Rachel will move in to the parsonage  next Tuesday afternoon,  May 24.  Imagine their surprise if a basket of gift cards on their kitchen counter is awaiting them.  This welcome gift would allow them to stock the pantry, get house supplies and maybe grab a bite at the end of a busy day.   This Sunday morning we will be receiving gift cards from the congregation.  You choose the merchant.  Examples are:  Ingles, Earth Fare, Walmart, Target, Lowes, Walgreens, restaurants, etc.  Feel free to write a note with the card sharing your personal greetings.

Thank you to all who have sewn and are sewing the drawstring backpacks for Lutheran World Relief School Kits. So far, thirty backpacks have been returned and are ready to fill with school supplies in September. There are more kits ready to be sewn on the table under the women's bulletin board, which is in the hallway to the right as you exit the worship area. These kits have everything that you need, including instructions, and involve simple sewing of straight seams. The kits need to be finished and returned by September 1. Please consider picking up and sewing a kit or two to help us meet our goal of 125 school kits. Thank you for your help. If you have questions or need help,
call Linda Blake, 684-8378.

Ladies Lunch Bunch, Thursday, May 26 - Peggy Mann is our hostess and we will meet at the Stone Ridge Tavern, 1003 Brevard Road, Asheville (corner of Sardis Rd. and Brevard Rd.) at 1 pm. Please call Peggy, 684-3617, and let her know that you will be there so she can make a reservation for you.

Continue to bring in your aluminum pop tops and your Campbell's UPC codes until June 19. They will be taken to the Ronald McDonald House and Crossnore School. These items may be placed on the table under the women's bulletin board.

+ Calvary Food Pantry
On May 14th, the Calvary Food Pantry provided food for 120 families and the 424 individuals in those families. "Feed my sheep" is the exciting mission of Calvary Food Pantry. If you know a teen or adult looking for a new volunteer opportunity, consider joining the team on Saturday mornings and signing up at the welcome table. On a typical Saturday, the pantry provides food for 120-130 clients, representing over 400 people! Thank you for remembering our neighbors as you place non-perishable foods, diapers, and toiletries in the shopping cart in the narthex or as you designate gifts in the offering.
